Dumbrăvița, a commune in Brasov county, is a special place for us. 💚
From 2018 til 2022 we planted no less than 43 hectares there. And, in 2022, we also celebrated with the 300+ volunteers on site our first million seedlings planted – so we had to come again in 2023!
The forest area is managed by the Maierus Forest Management Unit and it is owned by the Dumbravita Commune. The area was deforested 60 years ago, to extend the commune’s pastures. The area was changed back to forest recently, and the local authorities reforested 16 ha between 2016-2017 (with sessile oak and ash).
Tomorrow’s Forest continued the reforestation works, planting 43 ha between 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
